The barbell club is run by Hayley Whiting, a current New Zealand Olympic Weightlifter.

The program focuses on proper technique in all Olympic Style Lifts. Sessions include drills that are geared towards building strength and power. Throughout the session, the needs and level of each individual are addressed. This ensures their proper progression and safety.

Members: $45 per month
Non-Members: $100 per month

*In order to participate, you must first complete the beginners and intermediate barbell courses.

Build a foundation of strength and technique to take your weightlifting to the next level, wither you want to improve your CrossFit times, you are looking to specialise or you’re just interested to get a taste of Olympic weightlifting, this is the place to start.

You will receive 12 hours of specialised, specific coaching over 6 weeks, based on your needs with a focus on position and repetition.

You will learn;
The classic lifts (Snatch, Clean and Jerk)
Relevant accessory work for each
Jerks and presses from various positions
Pulls from various positions
As well as receiving video analysis and feedback from the coach.

Non-Members $170

*In order to enter you must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform a front squat and overhead squat with an empty barbell.

Build on your knowledge and skills learned in the beginners course and make the step up with more of an emphasis on building strength throughout the lifts.

You will receive 12 hours of specialised, specific coaching over 6 weeks, based on your needs with a focus on strength and mobility.

You will learn;
The classic lifts (Snatch, Clean and Jerk)
Relevant accessory work for each
Jerks and presses from various positions
Pulls from various positions
As well as receiving video analysis and feedback from the coach.
